PERRYVILLE — Pearl Engle Lennington, 81, formerly of Boyle County, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Corydon, Ind.
Born May 13, 1930, in Rockcastle County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Eunice Baker Engle. She was a retired employee of Kentucky School for the Deaf.
Pearl was a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church, the church her great-grandmother was instrumental in establishing. Pearl was passionate about attending church; after moving to Indiana, she attended with her daughter. Pearl loved quilting and was a former first-place winner at the Boyle County Fair for her quilting.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Donna and Norman McCloud of Indiana; one son and his wife, Roger and Diana Lennington of Danville; 12 grandchildren, John, Sherri, Kelly, Shawn, Andrea, Bruce, Eva, Lara, Jody, Jessica, Amanda and Travis; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services for Pearl will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel Smith. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jody Lennington, Bruce McCloud, Zachary Cox, Daniel Jones, Wesley Cox and Mike Houchins.
Visiting hours are 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
