STANFORD — Francis Ione Evans, 86, of Waynesburg, died Monday.
Born June 26, 1925, in Big Sandy, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Elvis and Lorene Wheatley Berry.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Lester Evans of Waynesburg; two daughters, Gail Millott of Palm Springs, Fla., and Gwen Carter (Norman) of Stanford; five siblings, Duane Berry of Houston, Texas, Joanne Coheen of Macon, Ga., Dean Berry of Pennsylvania, Sandra Gus of Virginia, and Doris Kozak of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
Spurlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
