Where is the media? If George Bush had skipped his daily scheduled intelligence briefings the day after the first 9/11 attacks, they would have stormed the White House.
Obama skipped his daily intelligence briefing the day after the Middle East attacks! According to the public schedule of the president, the last time he attended his daily intelligence meeting was Sept. 5 — a week before Islamist radicals stormed our embassy in Cairo, and terrorists killed our ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi.
The president was scheduled for an intelligence meeting at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, the day after the attacks, but it was canceled so that he could comfort grieving employees at the state department — as well as he should. But instead of rescheduling the intelligence briefing for later in the day, Obama chose to skip it and attend a Las Vegas fundraiser for his re-election. One day after a terrorist attack.
His actions speak so much louder than his empty words.
Where is the media when they allow him to hold his press conferences behind the skirts of entertainment and TV shows, where he is free of any possible questions, when his first appearance after the attack he makes a short statement and runs off to avoid questions?
Where is the media, asking tough questions about why our ambassador was in an unguarded, unprotected consulate building, not the Embassy in Tripoli, no Marines in either place, live ammo not allowed because of the new rules of engagement signed by Hillary Clinton in 2011?
No, they are more concerned about attacking Mitt Romney because he dared again to show Obama to be the impostor he is, when he — Romney — gave us our first real press conference in four years and was not afraid to take questions.
When our president thinks it is more important to be on David Letterman and to hold the next fundraiser than to do his job, I think he and his state department have been revealed to be criminally negligent in the protection of our own people.
