In just a few weeks, the United Nations general assembly will meet. They are expected to take up the demands of the Palestinians to be recognized as an independent nation. Already, more than 100 nations or counties have pledged their support for such a measure.
Since the general assembly is overwhelmingly anti-Israel, the measure is expected to pass there.
A veto in the Security Council by the United States would prevent it from talking full effect, but given the recent pro-Palestinian positions taken by the Obama administration and their repeated demands on Israel for concessions in the name of peace, such a veto is not a certainty.
Two years ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly committed to a solution of two states for two peoples: A Palestinian state along side the Jewish state. But, so far, the Palestinians have been unwilling to accept a Palestinian state, if it meant accepting a Jewish state alongside it.
America should be racing to protect God’s chosen people as their enemies circle like wolves. Our future is intertwined with Israel’s.
The Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. God calls the land of Israel His land. He said He would bless her and He would curse those who curse her.
We cannot afford to go against Israel. If you think the earthquake in Japan was bad or the tornado in Joplin, or the hurricane on the east coast was bad, wait until you see what’s headed our way if we go against Israel.
