Maggie Despain of Hendrix put her only shot into the goal in the first half to give the visiting team a 1-0 win over Centre College in a field hockey match here Sunday.
Centre (1-4) outshot the winners 27-9 and had 16 corner kicks, but Hendrix goal keeper Betsy Kelly had 12 saves. Centre keeper CeCe Lindsey had one save.
