Rob Caudill of Danville has been named to the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State first team.
Caudill is one of 19 players picked to the first team, and one of only two from the 12th Region, along with Storm Wilson of Somerset.
The senior pitcher-shortstop, who has signed with Davidson, went 10-2 with three saves and a 0.58 earned-run average on the mound this season. He struck out 142 batters and walked only 23 in 72 1/3 innings.
He also hit .365 with five home runs, 22 RBIs and 26 stolen bases, and his team-high 40 walks helped him to a .551 on-base percentage.
Two other area players, Danville senior catcher Andrew Lasure and Mercer County junior second baseman John Ingram, received honorable mention.
