Cassidy Martin scored 34 points with 13 rebounds and five steals Saturday night to lead Mercer County to a 73-60 win over visiting Somerset.
Heidi Huffman scored 14 points with five rebounds and Seygan Robins had seven points, five steals and seven assists for Mercer (11-5), which again played without the injured Catheryne Claunch.
Mercer led 35-23 at the half and 56-43 after three quarters. The Titans were 24 of 59 shooting, hitting 11 of 32 3-pointers, and went 15 of 20 at the line.
Casey County 61, Wayne County 52 — At Liberty, Jasmine Johnson scored 18 points with six rebounds as the Rebels (7-7) won their fifth straight game in a victory over visiting Wayne.
Christin Terry had 15 points, Katie Douglas scored 12 and Lakken Miller had nine points for Casey, which had a season-low eight turnovers.
The Rebels were 18 of 40 from the floor and made 18 of 20 free throws. With the game tied with 5 minutes to play, Casey used a 10-0 to pull away and then made free throws down the stretch to preserve the win.
Clay County 66, Lincoln County 63 2OT — At Stanford, the Patriots fell in doble overtime to the visiting Tigers in a rematch of last year’s first-round Sweet Sixteen contest.
Sydney Harris had 15 points and Emily Fox and Kourtney Belcher each scored 14 for Lincoln (14-4). The Patriots led 29-21 at the half and 35-34 after three quarters. The scored was tied 51-all after regulation and 60-all after the first overtime.
