Alex Beckerson of Burgin finished second Wednesday in the Bluegrass Conference Championships at Lexington.
Beckerson ran the 3.1-mile course at the Sayre Athletic Complex in 18 minutes, 20 seconds, which was 1 minute behind Nick Waltman of Sayre.
Eliel Lemus of Kentucky School for the Deaf was fifth in 19:05.
Burgin was also second in the boys team standings.
