The Boyle County girls made the cut by a single stroke for today’s final round at the girls state golf tournament.
Rachel Pingleton shot 85 in the first round Tuesday to lead Boyle to a team score of 363 at Bowling Green Country Club, leaving the Rebels one stroke ahead of Henderson County and in a tie for 11th place in the 22-team field.
The field was to be cut to the lowest 11 teams, including ties, after the first round was completed this morning. Twelve players were on the course when play was suspended Tuesday night, but none were on competing teams.
Pingleton was 13 over par and tied for 42nd place in the 154-player field.
Caroline McDonald shot an 88 for Boyle. Michaela Jarman shot 93, followed by Alexis Draut at 97 and Samantha Stewart at 106.
Anna Hack of Calloway County was the clubhouse individual leader at 4-under-par 68.
