Caroline McDonald shot a personal-best 76 Saturday to lead the sixth-ranked Boyle County girls golf team to a second place finish in a tournament at Juniper Hills in Frankfort.

Sacred Heart won with a score of 307, followed by Boyle with a 329 and Henry Clay with a 332.
“(Coach) Sharon (Beasley) and I were very pleased to see how well our team finished today. As we've said before, Henry Clay and Anderson County will be the teams to beat at the regional tournament,”¿Waters said. “It was a great confidence booster for our team to see it can be done. However, the scores are very close and we have to continue to stay focused in practice. As always, the short game will make the difference.”
Rachel Pingleton shot 80 for Boyle, Samantha Stewart had a personal-best 84, Alex Draut had an 89 and Michaela Jarman shot 94.
