Prep Golf: Danville's Williams ties for 15th, Boyle's Jarman ties for 52nd at boys state tourney

J.B. Williams of Danville tied for 15th place and Dakota Jarman of Boyle County tied for 52nd place Saturday in the boys state golf tournament at Bowling Green.

Williams shot 78 in the final round to finish the 36-hole tournament at 9-over-par 153. He was 12 shots behind leaders Fred Allen Meyer of West Jessamine and Joey Mayo of St. Mary. Meyer won the individual state title, beating Mayo on the second playoff hole. West Jessamine also took home the team title.

Jarman shot 85 in the final round to finish at 163. He also earned the National Guard KHSAA¿Best &¿Brightest Award.
