Prep Volleyball: Lincoln-Burgin to meet in first round of 12th Region Tournament

Lincoln County plays Burgin and Casey County gets four-time defending regional champion Southwestern on Monday in the first round of the 12th Region volleyball Tournament at Mercer County.
In Tuesday’s first-round matchups, Boyle County faces West Jessamine, which has not lost a match to a regional foe this season, while Pulaski County plays Wayne County.
Lincoln lost 3-1 to Burgin on Aug. 23, while Casey did not face the Warriors this year. Boyle lost its only meeting with West 3-0 on Sept. 11.
The semifinals are at 6 and 8 p.. Wednesday, and the regional title match is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
