Prep Wrestling: Danville is short-handed at Region 2 Duals

Illness forced the Danville wrestling team to take just four wrestlers to the Region 2 Duals at Nelson County on Saturday, but the four that went fared well.
Zach Phillips and Daniel Lannum each went 4-0 and Elliott Porter went 3-1 as the Admirals went 1-3 as a team.
Danville opened with a 25-24 victory over fort Knox, which the Admirals won on a tiebreaker. Phillips, wrestling at 113 pounds, Lannum (132) and Seamus Sallee all had pins in the match, and Porter won by forfeit.
In a 50-12 loss to North Hardin, Phillips won by decision. Lannum, this time at 126 pounds, won in overtime, Porter earned a pin and Sallee was pinned.
In a 63-8 loss to Larue County, Phillips won by pin, Lannum won by decision, Porter lost by decision and Sallee was pinned.
In the Admirals’ final match, a 54-18 loss to Central Hardin, Phillips, Lannum and Porter all got pins and Sallee was pinned.
