Autumn Murray and Devin Conley each scored 19 points Saturday afternoon to lead the Garrard County girls to a 61-51 win over Wayne County in the Cancer Awareness Classic at Pulaski County.
“They was a real nice win. I was real worried about this game seeing as we just played last night (beating Bardstown) and had a quick turnaround,” Garrard coach Scott Bolin said.
Ryan Cain had seven points and nine rebounds, Victoria Floyd had eight boards and Kelly Smith seven for the Golden Lions (13-6), who have won three straight and five of six.
Boys
Burgin 64, Oneida Baptist 51 — At Oneida, Alex Beckerson scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (9-14) to a win at Oneida Baptist.
John Price added 15 points for Burgin, which led 33-24 at the half and 44-38 after three quarters. Burgin hit 12 of 13 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
The Bulldogs were 22 of 48 from the floor and made 20 of 22 at the line.
Danville Christian Academy 76, LIGHT 69 — At Danville, Zach Tarter and Caleb Tarter each scored 19 points to lead DCA (14-7) over LIGHT at the Kentucky School for the Deaf.
Josh Asmus added 14 points, Zach Tarter pulled down 20 rebounds and Daniel Crall scored 10 points and had nine rebounds for the Warriors, who led 39-37 at the half and 57-51 after three quarters.
Macklin Hamilton scored a game-high 34 points for LIGHT, while Cameron Owens scored 21.
DCA finished 34 of 60 from the field and 7 of 15 at the line. LIGHT was 25 of 69 from the floor and made 11 of 20 free throws.
DCA led 11-0 early, but LIGHT rallied and led by as much as seven in the second quarter before DCA took a two-point halftime cushion.

Boys
South Oldham 90, Boyle County 67 — At Danville, Brett Jones scored 21 points and Hagen Tyler added 16 as the Rebels (13-10) fell to South Oldham (16-6).
Micah Miniard added 10 points and seven rebounds for Boyle, which fell behind 30-17 after a quarter and 56-29 at the half.
Jones was 5 of 9 overall, 4-for-6 from 3-point range, and 7 of 8 at the line for Boyle, which finished 23 of 45 from the floor and 15 of 19 at the line. Tyler was 6 of 11 shooting and Miniard 5 of 7.
South Oldham was 32 of 63 from the floor and made 18 of 19 free throws. The Dragons also scored 28 points off 20 Boyle turnovers.
Danville Christian Academy 66, Christian¿Academy of Lawrenceburg 53 — At Harrodsburg, Josh Asmus scored 19 points with six rebounds to lead DCA over Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg.
Landon Sears added 18 points for the Warriors, Caleb tarter had 11 points and Zach Tarter had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
