Cameron Owens picked up the slack in a big way with Macklin Hamilton out of the lineup.
Owens poured in 58 points Saturday on 23 of 33 shooting and led LIGHT¿to a 96-84 win over Landmark Christian.
Owens was 6-for-9 from 3-point range and had six steals. Dylan Felix had 14 points and 14 rebounds and David Stoltzfus had nine points and 10 boards for LIGHT, which led 50-40 at the half and 66-59 after three quarters.
“This game was pure run-and-gun,” coach Kevin Hamilton said. “It was fun to watch.”
LIGHT (19-12) finished 39 of 73 shooting, going 6 of 16 from 3-point range, and hit 12 of 18 at the line.
Girls
Boyle County 54, Taylor County 31 — At Danville, Marlee Smith had 12 points and Chelsea Gill scored 10 for the Rebels (16-12) in a win over visiting Taylor County.
Hannah Harris had nine points for Boyle, which finished 14 of 17 at the free throw line.

North Oldham 72, Boyle County 63 — At Goshen, Brett Jones had 18 points and five rebounds for Boyle (13-12) in a road loss to the Mustangs (18-10).
Hagen Tyler had 14 points and six rebounds and Chapman Bean had 11 points off the bench for the Rebels, who trailed 30-22 at the half and 49-38 after three quarters.
Boyle was 23 of 50 from the floor, making 11 of 23 3-pointers, and went 6 of 12 at the free throw line.
North Oldham was 28 of 54 shooting, hit 14 of 20 foul shots and outrebounded Boyle 32-29.
LIGHT¿78, Saline Christian 62 — At Danville, Macklin Hamilton had 26 points and 11 assists and Cameron Owens added 27 points and five assists as LIGHT¿topped Saline Christian.
LIGHT was 29 of 60 from the floor and made 15 of 22 free throws and held Saline to 25 percent shooting (18 of 71). LIGHT (18-12) led 37-26 at the half and 58-42 after three quarters.
“We are geared up for KCSAA tournament next week,” coach Kevin Hamilton said. “Any team could win it all. It is wide open for every team even DCA could win it all. It will be very difficult for every team. I am looking forward to it.”
Eminence 81, Burgin 62 — At Eminence, Eminence used a 32-4 run over the second and third quarters to pull away from the Bulldogs (9-17).
Alex Beckerson had 27 points, 19 rebounds, five blocked shots and a steal, John Price added 17 points and Nick Beckerson had 10 points and eight rebounds.
