Tabby Shewmaker of Mercer County was among 16 players selected to play in the Kentucky-Tennessee all-star series later this month in Bowling Green.
Shewmaker was picked from the seniors participating in last weekend's East-West all-star games in Louisville.
The Kentucky and Tennessee all-stars will play a best-of-three series June 28 at Western Kentucky University. Game 1 begins at 2 p.m., followed by games at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., if necessary.
Shewmaker was honored as the 12th Region player of the year at last weekend's East-West games. Brian Deem of Boyle County was honored as the regional coach of the year.
Shewmaker played for the East seniors, and Kasey Young of Danville played for the East juniors.
