Third baseman Manny Machado

Manny Machado met the hype when he arrived in Baltimore in the middle of the pennant chase. He ripped seven home runs and 18 extra-base hits in 51 games and had 26 RBIs. Machado also had a .445 slugging percentage. According to ESPN Stats and Info, only three third basemen since 1920 had a higher slugging percentage in their age 20 season and two are Hall of Famers. Machado will turn 21 in July, and his experience last season should help him improve on his .262 batting average and continue to blossom as a power hitter.
