As old schools have closed and new schools have opened and as the lines of districts have changed time after time, Wilmore has stayed the same. Yes, it has stayed the same in the literal sense that children in Wilmore have always gone to Wilmore Elementary School while the city of Nicholasville has been split into five different schools’ districts, but in a much more tangible sense, the warm, caring environment of Wilmore Elementary School has never changed. Just ask the staff members — 11 of whom roamed the halls as students as many as five decades ago.
