THURSDAY
— The Jessamine County Senior Center, located at 111 Hoover Drive, will host Body Recall, a 10-week program of physical fitness for the senior adult, on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. starting Jan. 17. — Grace Communtiy Church of the Nazarene will host a family wellness survival skills series on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per family. FRIDAY

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host how to borrow library eBooks with a Kindle from 2-3 p.m.
SATURDAY
— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a Chinese New Year Celebration from 2-4 p.m.
SUNDAY
— Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St. (next to the Prescription Pad), offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.
MONDAY
— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 859-885-9102.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Mother Goose story time at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host preschool story time at 7 p.m.
— Nicholasville United Methodist Church is offering a chronic-disease self-management program, “Hope to Cope,” a six-week series beginning Jan. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It is a six-week interactive workshop that helps people who have on-going health problems know how to take care of their health. During the class, participants will learn how to take small steps toward postive changes and healthier living. The program is for those 18 years of age and older.
