— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 859-885-9102.

— The Jessamine County Health Department (JCHD) is offering a new session of “Strong Women,” a free 10-week moderate intensity exercise program for women aged 50 and over, that began Jan. 22. Strong Women is designed to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older women by building strong bones and muscles and increasing balance and flexibility. Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the Jessamine County Health Department, 210 E. Walnut St. in Nicholasville.
