— Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, located at 100 Veterans Drive in Wilmore, is seeking volunteers to help in many areas of the facility. Areas include visiting with residents, working in the gift shop or craft room, providing general office assistance, assisting residents with activities, reading to residents and escorting residents to appointments. — The Jessamine County Senior Center will offer blood-pressure checks every third Friday of each month from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

— The Jessamine County Cancer Buddies group would like to extend an invitation to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer and all the survivors of it. The group hopes to help out with all the needs of those stricken with cancer. JCCB meets at 6:30 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month at Sonny’s Bar-B-Q.
— First Assembly of God, 1701 Wilmore Road, hosts a men’s fellowship breakfast at 9 a.m. every second Saturday of the month.
