Magistrate George Dean received a special honorary award from Leadership Jessamine County inducting him into the graduating class of 2012 during the June 19 Jessamine County Fiscal Court meeting.
Dean was presented a plaque and engraved clock by Judge-Executive Neal Cassity before the beginning of the meeting.
"Dean has been a tireless advocate for Leadership Jessamine County for many, many years," said Ron Bishoff on behalf of the Leadership Jessamine County's board of directors. "Mr. Dean is arguably one of the most knowledgeable men in our county regarding history, current events, topography, knowledge of Jessamine County 'happenings' and so much more."
Cassity added that he was proud that Dean is a magistrate and that he should be proud of himself.
