— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. — Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera Bread, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a music workshop: How to Improve Your Singing from 3-4:30 p.m.
— Bluegrass Dragway will host a reunion. The Kentucky Motorsports Hall of Fame presents, Bluegrass Dragway Reunion II. For only the second time in Thirty One years former racers and fans will gather to share their memories of the old Dragstrip that closed in 1981. Bluegrass Dragway was located on US 27 on the site of the current Industrial Park. From 1964 through 1981, Bluegrass was the site of many National Hot Rod Association and the International Hot Rod Association events. Touring professional racers from California to New York made stops at the famous facility. The track opened August 2, 1964 and the final race was held in November of 1981. Reunion II will feature many old Bluegrass race cars in a special display, special guests including former track officials & former racers, memorialbia photos and movies from the glory days of Bluegrass history at the actual site of the old facility.
