The American Red Cross announced that Redi Mart stores, including a location in Jessamine County at 1001 E. Elizabeth St. in Nicholasville, raised $4,003 for the American Red Cross to help assist in southern storm relief. Money was raised throughout the regional area with 21 local area stores participating.
The money will go to Southern Storm Relief and be used to provide Red Cross services to people who were affected by the string of deadly weather last spring. Red Cross services include providing temporary shelter, food, clothing, mental health counseling, and basic health-care needs.
