The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help regarding a burglary that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Around 6 p.m. that evening, deputies were dispatched to Springcrest Drive near the Fayette County line off U.S. 68 on a burglary call.

According to a JSO news release, when a mother and her daughter arrived home, they realized the door that led from the inside of their home to the garage was pried open.

The pair exited the garage and called 911.

While on the phone, a white male fled from the garage area of the home. He is described as five feet, 11 inches tall, about 160 pounds and in his 30s. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, light colored jeans, white tennis shoes and a red and gray baseball cap.

The man ran through the family’s backyard, hopped a fence and fled into a wooded area.

A composite sketch of the man was completed and deputies are asking anyone with information about this crime or if anyone can identify the man to call the sheriff's office at 859-885-9512.
