Jessamine County Fiscal Court received a check for $22,296 from the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) on June 28 during a special-called meeting.

The check, presented by KACo representative Joe Greathouse, represents a dividend payment to the county from the KACo Workers Compensation Fund, which provides workers compensation insurance coverage to county governments andother political subdivisions across Kentucky.

KACo insures 113 of Kentucky’s 120 counties through the Workers Compensation Fund. Jessamine County also received, in 2010, a dividend payment of $34,339 from the KACo All Lines Fund (KALF), which provides property and liability insurance. Since 2010, as a member of the KACo insurance programs, the Jessamine County Fiscal Court has received $56,635 in dividend payments.

“I am extremely pleased with the recent financial results of KACo’s insurance programs,” Judge-Executive Neal Cassity said.
