Jessamine County schools celebrate literacy, reading

Students across the nation celebrated Read Across America Day (also known as Dr. Seuss Day) Wednesday, and Kentucky has observed its first Kentucky Literacy Celebration Week. Nicholasville Mayor Russ Meyer and fire-department Lt. Chris Campbell visited Nicholasville Elementary School to read to students Wednesday, and Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear made a stop at Jessamine Early Learning Village on Thursday.
