Nicholasville police arrested two Wilmore men on charges of federal conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. The arrests stem from a two-year investigation that involved the Kentucky State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration, according to a news release.
Anthony James, 28, and Charles Powell, 60, were arrested Friday.
According to an NPD news release, James and Powell were travelling to Tennessee and obtaining prescription pills, and bringing them back to central Kentucky to sell.
Police say more charges may follow as the investigation continues.
