Anne C. Preston, 78, widow of Virgil Preston Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Jessamine County, died July 28 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia and husband Richard McNeil and Frances “Missy” and husband Michael Hallbick; a son, Gary and wife Millie Preston and a nephew she raised as a son, Richard wife Deanna Morris; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat West and Jane Kosmatka; and a daughter-in-law, Larena Preston. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Thomas Preston and a daughter, Deborah Ann Preston. Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home.  Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery.  Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com.
