Aretta Charlene Ball, 79, widow of Philip Ball, died July 6. She will be missed greatly by us all, but we will take comfort in Jehovah’s promised resurrection. “Marvel not in this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice” (John 5:28). She was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Tucker DeLaney. Survivors include her daughter, Fawn and husband Anthony Slone; beloved grandson Joshua Slone; great-granddaughters Madison and Maria Slone; nieces Cherie and husband Ron Brown and Sunny Delaney; nephews Gary Chambers and Dana and wife Rhonda Cook; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Elder Mike Sullivan. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. July 14.
