Barbara Hall Wade, 74, wife of 57 years to Gerald D. Wade, died Feb. 27 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Albert B. and Ruby Cobb Hall. Barbara was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church and also attended Bethel Christian Church. She will be remembered as the best mother in the world, always there with a hug and a word of encouragement. Additional survivors include a daughter, Tammie and husband Jerry Jones; a granddaughter, Paige Morton; a grandson, Jason Morton; a great-grandchild, Talon Poynter; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Lancaster. Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Barnes and Pastor Bill Bales officiating. Burial followed in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation was held from 3-9 p.m. Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
