Bruce Allen Upthegrove, 55, of Detroit Avenue, died Feb. 29 at his home. He was the son of Billie Sue Jordan Upthegrove and the late James Eugene Upthegrove. He was a former employee of Newtown Corporation. Additional survivors include four sisters, Beverly Upthegrove, Donna and husband Mike Rust, Connie and husband John Courtney, and Sabrena Wilson; a brother, Barry Upthegrove; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special lifetime friend, Melody McKinney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Gayle Upthegrove.  Services were at 5 p.m. Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Carlos Elliott. Visitation was from 3-5 p.m. Saturday.
