Charles Douglas Woolums, 71, husband of Beuna “Boots” Woolums, died July 1. He was a member of Steele Chapel Christian Church in Corbin, a Kentucky Colonel and was retired from Bosch-Rexton Corp.  He was the son of the late Kirtley and Kitty Lou Woolums. Additional survivors include his children, Dr. Stephen and wife Cindy Woolums of Corbin, and Susan Woolums and wife Jay Swayze of Cincinnati; grandchildren Allison, Sarah, Amanda and Stephen; two brothers, Richard and Michael Woolums; a sister, Susan Horn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie; and a brother, Ronald Woolums. Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service. There will also be a memorial service at Steele Chapel Christian Church in Corbin at a later date.
