Terry Lee Hager, 66, widower of Brenda Sue Preston Hager, died Thursday, March 14. He was born June 29, 1946, in Jessamine County to the late Bob Stivers and Mary Anna and husband Dandy Locker Hager. Terry Lee was owner/operator of Terry Hager Backhoe Service and a farmer. He was a member of Hickman Creek Coon Club and Jessamine County Saddle Club. Growing up, he was an avid coon and deer hunter. After losing his wife, Brenda, in 2004, his passion became horses, trail riding and camping with his family and friends. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Lynn Hager; a son, Vance Spencer and wife Vickie Hager; three grandchildren, Rachael Mackenzie, Caleb Spencer and Tucker Wayne Hager; one special sister, Jan and husband Mike Hager; two brothers, Johnny “Frog” and wife Donna Hager, and Burch and wife Debbie Hager; nieces Misty Hager and Anna Hughes; nephews Aaron and Josh Hager; four great-nieces and -nephews, Willie, Aly, Tyler and Savannah; his mother- and father-in-law, Harrison Delbert and Vernice Jean Preston Jr.; and other Preston family members. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, John Michael Hager; nieces Valerie Ann Hager Adkins and Mary Hope Hager; and special friends Nolie Blakeman and Jerry Hale. Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Bales officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 1-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.  Bearers were Johnny, Mike and Burch Hager; Lyn Peel; Rocky Johnson; Paul Miller; Jack Cooper; Wayne Stinnett; Roy Bell; Travis Dykes; Josh Teater; and Michael Joe Stinnett.
