Verna Mae Rogers Stemple, 78, widow of Charles Alden Stemple, of Wilmore died June 24. She was a member of the Wilmore United Methodist Church and former treasurer for the Wilmore United Methodist Women. Mrs. Stemple formerly served as a secretary at Asbury Theological Seminary. Survivors include her children, Michael Alan and wife Sheri Stemple, Rita Jo Stemple Vandergriff, and Steven Dale and wife Sharlene Stemple; grandchildren Joshua, Jasmine, Elizabeth, Aaron, Jonathan, Rachel and Seth; great-grandchildren Anthony, Victoria, Jesse, Zane S., Maryam, Sara, Zane K., Sagan, Addison and Izabella; a brother, Earl and wife Betty Rogers; and in-laws Edwin M. and Ada Nestor.
