William Wayne “Billy” Cheek II, 43, husband of Pamela Cheek, passed away at their home Sunday, March 17. Billy was a native of Jessamine County born Dec. 2, 1969, to Patricia Ann Merriman Cheek and the late William Wayne Cheek. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and was an employee of Malone’s Temp Service currently at Johnson Control. His favorite pastime was woodworking, and he loved making shelves for his mom. In addition to his loving wife of eight years and his mother, he is survived by a paternal grandfather, William Rhodes Cheek; father-in-law and mother-in-law James Everett and Marcella Hood; children William Charles “Willie” Cheek and Justin Gerard Boone; grandson Tyler Boone; brother Patrick Dwayne Cheek and wife Melissa Ann and their son, Justin; brother-in-law Everett Hood and wife Debbie and their son, Joe Hood and wife Joann; and great nephews Collin and Zachary Hood. A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Brother Everett Hood officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Honoring him as pallbearers will be James Floyd; Justin Boone; Patrick, Rodney, and Denny Cheek; Robert Houp; and Billy Wayne Poor. Honorary bearers are Joe Hood and Bill Holland.
