Manna Ministries offers free meals at NUMC

A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.

FAS announces summer book series

The Francis Asbury Society is pleased to announce their new Summer Book Series. The public is cordially invited to come one evening each month during June, July, and August to discuss a book with practical applications to the Christian faith.  The author will be present at each discussion.  On Monday, June 25, Dr. Robert Coleman will participate in a discussion of his book, The Heart of the Gospel.  On Thursday, July 12, Dr. Matt Friedeman will join us via Skype to discuss his book, Discipleship in the Home.  The final study will be Thursday, August 9, with Dr. John Oswalt discussing his study of 1st John, On Being a Christian. Wilmore Presbyterian to host VBS

Wilmore Presbyterian Church. located at 100 N. Lexington Ave., Wilmore, will host its Vacation Bible School July 8-11 from 1-3 p.m. This year’s theme will be “Who is God?, Who am I?, Who are we together?” based on the book, “3 Questions.” It’s open for children ages 4 through the fifth grade. St. Athanasius offers free bread Sundays

Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.

Lighthouse Baptist Church to host VBS
