Edgewood Baptist to host VBS
Edgewood Baptist Church will host its Vacation Bible School June 11-15 from 6-8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Amazing Wonders Aviation.” Children of all ages will be admitted free each night. Teenagers and adults will also experience a Bible study. FAS to study book of Exodus
The Francis Asbury Society, located at 1580 Lexington Road, Wilmore, is hosting a study of the book of Exodus on Mondays at 7 p.m. through June 16. The study is led by Dr. John Oswalt, visiting distinguished professor of Old Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary.

Bethel Christian VBS in June

St. Athanasius offers free bread on Sundays
Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.

Manna Ministries offers free meals at NUMC
A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.
FAS to host summer book series
The Francis Asbury Society is pleased to announce a new addition to their summer programming: the summer book series. The public is cordially invited to come one evening each month during June, July and August to discuss a book with practical applications to the Christian faith. The author will also be present at each discussion. The selection for June is “The Heart of the Gospel” by Dr. Robert Coleman. This book outlines the tenets of the Christian faith and shows why those beliefs are central to the daily living out of one’s faith.
This first discussion group will gather Monday, June 25, at 7 p.m. All book discussions will take place at the Francis Asbury Society Ministry Center, 1580 Lexington Road, Wilmore.

St. Aidan’s Church, located at 224 Edgewood Drive, will host a yard sale to benefit Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, June 9, starting at 9 a.m.
Lighthouse Baptist Church to host VBS
