Church of Christ hosts seminar
The Nicholasville Church of Christ will host a free seminar concerning Christian evidence, “Is There Really a God?” April 1 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and April 2 and April 3 at 7 p.m.
Manna Ministries offers meals
A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.
St. Athanasius offers bread ministry
Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.
Lighthouse Baptist to host Easter event
Lighthouse Baptist Church will host the Easter musical “Never Thirst Again” Sunday, April 8, at 10:30 a.m.
Francis Asbury Society to host Bible studies
The Francis Asbury Society, located at 1580 Lexington Road, Wilmore, will host two Bible studies this spring. On Mondays at 7 p.m. through June 16 is a study of the book of Exodus led by Dr. John Oswalt, visiting distinguished professor of Old Testament. Christian church to host ‘Rock-a-Thon’
The Jessamine Christian Church women’s ministry is sponsoring a “Rock-a-Thon” to benefit All God’s Children in Nicholasville on Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Troy Presbyterian to host Lenten study
Troy Presbyterian Church will host a Lenten study of Thomas Keating each Monday during Lent (Feb. 22-April 2) at 3 p.m. Each session will last one hour, with 45 minutes of discussion and 15 minutes of centering prayer. First Assembly to host ‘Messiah in the Passover’
First Assembly of God, located at 1701 Wilmore Road, will host “Messiah in the Passover” Sunday, March 18, at 11 a.m. The event will be conducted by the Rev. Peter Shirokov, a representative of Chosen People Ministries, one of the world’s most extensive ministries to the Jewish people. The public is invited to attend.
