About Benjamin S. Rossi’s recent opinion article, I agree with some of what he says. Yes, people in animal rescue tend to be over the top. However, that does not change the fact that for every animal purchased, a shelter animal dies. I appreciate his great love for the dog he bought. But there are plenty of German Shepherds in shelters all over the country that could be adopted. Yes, Mr. Rossi, unfortunately, when you purchased the dog who lives with you, a shelter animal probably died. Sorry, but it is true.
