A little bit of snow won't keep East Jessamine and West Jessamine from competing in the 12th Region semifinals Monday night at Pulaski County.

East Jessamine advanced to the semis with a 78-61 win over Wayne County last Wednesday. The Jaguars will face Boyle County tonight at 6 p.m.

East defeated Boyle 57-55 on Dec. 6. The win came in the Jags' fourth game of the year and was only the Rebels' second game of the year.

Boyle has a record of 12-15 with postseason wins over Casey County in the region quarterfinals, Lincoln County in the 45th District championship, and Garrard County in the district semifinals.

Boyle is currently in its best stretch of the season, winning eight of its last 10. Prior to the run, the Rebels lost six straight games.

West Jessamine is the lone district runner-up to make it to the region semifinals. The Colts beat the 47th District champion Pulaski County Maroons 73-66 Thursday night. West will play Southwestern tonight at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Southwesten ran away with the regular-season game 79-50 on Jan. 24. The Warriors have won five in a row; their last loss came against Pulaski in early February.

In the postseason, Southwestern has wins against Lincoln County in the region quarterfinals, Wayne County in the district finals, and Monticello in the district semis.

At 25-8 overall, the Warriors have the second-best record in the region.
