West Middle basketball camp
West Jessamine Middle School will be hosting a basketball fundamentals camp for girls entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade.
The camp will run from July 10-13, 9 a.m. to noon each day.
The camp is free, and all girls wanting to play basketball this season are expected to attend.

East Jessamine High girls’ soccer tryouts
Tryouts and practice for grades 7-12 will begin Monday, July 16, at the soccer complex behind The Early Learning Village. Practice will be 7:30-9 a.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Players should bring running shoes, soccer cleats, shin guards, a ball and water. Completed physicals are required, and the KHSAA physical form is available at the high school.
East Jessamine boys’ golf tryouts
Tryouts for the East Jessamine High School boys’ golf team will be July 16 at High Point Golf Course at 6 p.m. Those wishing to try out must have a current completed physical form with them.
West Middle XC tryouts
Students who are interested in being on the West Jessamine Middle School cross-country team should report for practice Tuesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. at the Asbury University pond pavilion. Summer practices will be held Tuesday and Friday afternoons and Monday mornings.

East Middle girls’ basketball tryouts
East Jessamine Middle School girls’ basketball tryouts will be Monday, July 16, and Tuesday, July 17, from 9-11 a.m. at the East Middle gymnasium.
Any fifth-, sixth-, seventh- or eighth-grade girl living in East's district may try out.
Every player must have an up-to-date physical on July 16 (bring it with you to the gym) — no exceptions.
