West Jessamine volleyball took full advantage of a weaker Bourbon County squad Tuesday night and ran away with a 3-0 victory.

The Lady Colts were anchored by nearly error-free serving and big runs throughout the night.

“It was a good game to work on our serves, and overall our serving was a lot better,” West coach Debbie Rose said. “That was a good workout for us.”

In game one, West went on an 18-point run to go from being up 7-3 to winning 25-3. The run included outstanding service by junior Kelsey Sanders.

The Lady Colts also controlled game two by marching to a 25-12 win with a handful of kills by junior Ashlee Rose.

Game three was another cakewalk over the defeated Lady Colonels. Great service by Rose and Kristen Fristoe to close out the match gave West a 25-5 win in game three.

The win puts West Jessamine at 2-1 overall as it heads into Thursday’s road match at Lincoln County (1-1).
