Panthers have another perfect weekend

All three age divisions of the Nicholasville Panthers Football League combined for a perfect 4-0 weekend on the gridiron on Sept. 24.

The pee wee Panthers, got a 62-yard touchdown run and an interception from Kennedy Hayden. Short touchdown runs from Isaac Reed and  Noah Sallee helped give the Panthers a win over the previously unbeaten Frankfort Raiders 18-0. The pee wee Panthers are now 4-0 and their defense has yet to be scored against.

Pee wee back in action this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Falling Springs Park in Versailles.

The junior varsity Panthers, evened their record at 2-2 with a 20-8 win over the Frankfort Raiders. Braeden Fomas accounted for all three Panther scores with three rushing touchdowns.

They’ll be back in action this Saturday at noon at Falling Springs Park in Versailles.

The varsity Panthers, saw plenty of action Saturday and won both games of a double-header, running their record to 5-0.  

The Panthers beat the Lexington Wildcats 19-14 Saturday morning in Versailles, then returned to Nicholasville to down the Frankfort Raiders 24-18 late Saturday afternoon.

DJ Dawson had five touchdowns on the day, two in the first game and three in the second. He racked up total 247 yards.  

Anthony Justus had two touchdown runs, one for 63-yards against the Wildcats and a 65-yard scamper against the Raiders.

Varsity will be back in action this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Falling Springs Park in Versailles.
