The West Jessamine boys' golf team won its fifth-straight region golf championship on Wednesday setting up another trip to state.
The Colts shot a 295 to beat second-place Adair County by 10 strokes.
West junior Fred Allen Meyer was the individual champion. After 18 holes, Meyer and Danville's JB Williams each had a score of 71. Meyer sank a birdie putt on the first playoff hole to defeat Williams.
Junior Byron Speach was hot on their tails with a 72; senior Travis Rose shot a 75; Austin Swentzel shot a 77; and Conner Haas shot an 83.
The Colts will compete at the state championship in Bowling Green next Thursday.
