Jody Hamilton Baseball Camp
West Jessamine baseball coach Jody Hamilton will conduct the Jody Hamilton Baseball Camp this summer at West Jessamine High School.
The camp is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8. The first camp will be June 11-1,3 and the second will be June 18-20. Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day and will focus on hitting, throwing/pitching, base running/sliding, infield and outfield.
The camp's staff includes West head coach Jody Hamilton, West assistant Casey Hamilton and West assistant Travis McConathy.
Early registration is $75, and registration the first day of camp is $90. To register or for more information, contact coach Hamilton at 859-230-6157.
Jessamine County basketball camp
East Jessamine will be hosting the Jessamine County Youth Basketball Camp June 11-14 at East Jessamine High School.
The camp is for boys and girls in grades 3-8 for the 2012-’13 school year. Camp will run from 10 a.m. to noon each day.
Campers can register from 9-9:45 a.m. June 11 at EJHS; the cost is $50.
RJ Corman annual 5K
Wilmore Parks and Recreation is again hosting the RJ Corman annual 5K run. The 1-mile fun run and 5K run will take place Saturday, June 30, in downtown Wilmore, at 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., respectively. The starting and ending point will be in front of the Wilmore United Methodist Church on East Main Street.
Water will be available along the course and refreshments after the race. All participants will receive a free T-shirt. Registration forms can be found at www.wilmore.org, Wilmore City Hall and on day of race.
Early-bird registration ends June 28. The 1-mile fun run is $8 ($10 day of race), and the 5K run is $10 ($12 day of race).

Youth football signups are underway for 5-year-olds to 12-year-olds. The deadline to register with the Panthers is June 15. No late entries will be accepted.
