Recruiting Buzz: McCalister became the Gators¿ 20th commitment when he picked UF on Jan. 21 over Georgia Tech, North Carolina and six other ACC schools. One of the Gators¿ lower-rated prospects, McCalister ranks as high as 26th nationally at defensive end. He said the opportunity to play the Buck, a hybrid end/linebacker position, helped him make his decision since Florida hadn¿t recruited many players to that position in the class. He comes in with great size at 6-foot-7, 220 pounds, but needs to bulk up.
