Recruiting Buzz: Recruiting buzz: Briscoe, a three-star recruit, really impressed with Hurricanes with his performance in the state championship game. His inconsistency on the field has drawn doubts from some, but UM senior football operations coordinator Hurlie Brown was sold on Briscoe, who he had followed since he was defensive backs coach at Louisiana-Lafayette. Briscoe had nine sacks as a senior playing both end and tackle. UM needs help at tackle and Briscoe helps to fill that need.
