TUSTIN, Calif. (KTLA) -- There have been no arrests in the case involving 74-year-old Berna Martinez -- a grandmother who was hit and killed by a driver in Tustin back in March -- and now, Martinez' family is seeking answers.
Martinez was crossing Red Hill Avenue at the 5 freeway off-ramp when she was struck by a Mercury Sable just before 11:45 a.m.
Officers say the driver, a 79-year-old woman had just exited the freeway and was apparently unaware she had hit anyone.
The woman continued driving, but witnesses followed her and called police.
Officers finally caught up with her as she pulled into a strip mall.
She had no idea she had hit anyone and was so distraught, officers had to call paramedics.
It has been four months and no arrests have been made. Now Martinez' family is asking the public for help and asking potential witnesses to come forward.
