Hail looked like snow on the ground in many neighborhoods across the region. These were sent in from a viewer in North Laguna Creek.
And this one from a viewer in Elk Grove:
A torrent of rain made a streets rivers in South Sacramento.
And one viewer submitted photos showing a lightening strike in a tree in the Florin neighborhood.
But amidst all the destruction of Wednesday afternoon's storm, emerged beauty. Several viewers sent in photos of rainbows.
And after all the crazy weather, the sky once again looked peaceful in Elk Grove.
